Marc Gelinas is a nationally recognized speaker, writer, facilitator and consultant for health systems, health plans, and physician groups. His engagements include strategic planning board retreats, senior management retreats, business planning for start-ups and expansion programs, process and productivity improvements for physician groups, and preparation and management of CMS innovation and demonstration programs.
With over 30 years of highly diverse management experience and 14 years of successful consulting experience, Marc understands the workings of local, regional and national hospital systems, health plans, and all sizes of physician practice within both not-for-profit and for-profit environments. His senior management roles in acute care, post-acute care, long term care, health plans and physician practices has provided him the in-depth experience to evaluate a full range of operations for any health system. More recently, Marc also an 1115 Medicaid Waiver program with 21 projects valued at more than $350 million for a large academic medical center. His consulting clients range from small 3- physician practices to large groups of over 900 providers, hospital program level initiatives to system-wide planning and implementation.
Marc earned his MHA from Duke University. He is a Certified Medical Practice Executive through MGMA, a Certified Professional in Health Information Management Services through HIMSS, and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executive. He has spoken nationally on a wide variety of planning and trend topics, as well as having published numerous articles in a variety of healthcare journals.
